A Netscape installer is included on this CD should you wish to use Netscape for your Internet browsing and e-mail.
**IMPORTANT**
You will need to complete the registration process using Microsoft Internet Explorer to create your account details. Only by doing so will you then be able to install Netscape as an alternative to Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Outlook Express.
You can find the Netscape installer in the folder 'Netscape'.
Double-click the installer and proceed through the install process, selecting your preferences as you go. This will install Netscape. Restart your computer when prompted to do so.
Upon restart double-click the Netscape Communicator icon on your desktop (or navigate to Netscape in your Start menu). This will open the program.
To set-up the preferences in Netscape click on 'Edit' from the program menus and select 'Preferences' from the sub menu that appears. Enter the preferences detailed below to set your copy of Netscape to use icscotland.
Preferences: (leave unchanged any preferences not listed).
Navigator/Home-page: http://www.icscotland.net
Identity: enter your personal details here.
Incoming Mail Server: pop3.icscotland.net
Outgoing Mail Server: smtp.icscotland.net
Outgoing Mail Server Username: will be provided during registration process.
Newsgroup Server: news.icscotland.net
You may also need to check the following settings in your Dial Up Networking:
Access dial number: 0845 3002199
Username: will be provided during registration process.
Password: will be provided during registration process.
